SEO & Web Marketing With Google Buzz
The Buzz That Is Google Buzz
by Fernando Hal (CheatAd.com)
Earlier this week, Google launch it’s latest foray into social networking, the Google Buzz. It seems to be generating quite a buzz among web users, and will probably be Google’s most successful social attempt yet. Now, while a lot has been covered about the Google Buzz launch, the critics, the privacy issue, and the fix, little has been discussed about Google Buzz implications to webmasters and web marketers.
Emergence of social bookmarking has revolutionized web marketing in more than one ways, starting with early social bookmarking for geeks such as Digg and Del.icio.us to now Facebook and Twitter. Will Google Buzz makes any dent to Facebook and Twitter, the currently preferred choices of web marketers?
I do think so. This might be a little biased, since I’m a huge fan of Google and everything the company do, but I believe the Google Buzz will be very successful. Now, just 2 days into launching the Google Buzz, there are already more than 9 million posts and comments.
Obviously, this is an additional avenue for promoting whatever product and services you have, including your websites. Google Buzz will also allow webmasters to interact with site visitors in a way that Twitter can’t; visitors can comments your post in a Facebook-style conversation.
Tips For Web Marketing With Google Buzz
If you don’t have Gmail account yet, create one now. Most Gmail users will be presented with Google Buzz once they login. If it’s not, open http://www.google.com/buzz and click Try Buzz on Gmail. No further setup required.
Imagine having links to your website from a PR10 website. Now that’s possible with Google Buzz profile. After sign in to Google Buzz, create your public profile.
As in any social network, you’ll need to constantly create and post interesting stories, photos, and videos to increase your influence in the social network.
When there are too many posts in your followed people, Google will filter out the contents and show only the most popular contents. Those with more comments and views wins out.
Google Buzz shows who follows you and suggest you to follow back. This can easily benefit you. Follow as many people in your industry as you can, and get some follow back.
