Anyone that has tried his/her hand on blogging knows how desirable yet how hard it is to grow blog traffic. On the other hand, I had managed to grow a blog visit from 5 visitors a day to almost 800 visitors a day, all in slightly more than 100 days. 1. Search Engine Optimization
   While it might be different from blog to blog, search engine (Google, Yahoo and Bing) is my main traffic source. There are 2 reasons I love search engine traffic more than other source of traffic: continuity and worth per visit. Even when I’m not posting anything new, search engine will still be sending me visitors; at the same time, search engine visitors convert into better click-through rate for the Google Adsense.
2. Posting regular content
   Submitting new, useful posts in regular basis helps growing your blog traffic on many front. First, the obvious: it provides a reason for visitors to come back and visit your blog again. And then, by making regular postings, you are signaling to search engines that your blog is taken care of and thus more possibly has useful content. More post and articles also means there is more available landing page to your blog.
3. Make your visitor comeback
   There are many things you can do to get your visitors to come back to your blog, such as posting regular contents, adding social bookmarking buttons, allow visitors to subscribe via RSS and email, and replying to comments.

4. Help from community
   You should be an active participant in your niche social network and forum communities. By regular participation, you are growing your influence and authority in the community. Naturally, your fellow member of the communities will also want to find out what is going on in your blog. By adding social bookmarking buttons, aside from making it easier for your visitors to come back, you are also allowing them to help promote your blog in their social network communities.
5. Ahead of the trend
   Trend is a powerful factor in getting site visitor; it is about knowing what Internet users are searching. But you need to be smart about catching trend. Writing about Michael Jackson’s death when everyone else is writing about Michael Jackson’s death is, well, compulsory if you are in the niche but provide no value otherwise. Know ahead what is going on in next few months and write some comments about it. When the event is coming near, you would have gained certain authority from search engines and referrals.
