MyBlogLog Recent Readers WordPress Plugin
As you can see, I’m currently busy modifying my themes and adding new interesting plugins along the way. After the 125×125 Sponsor ads, the next plugin I’m installing is the MyBlogLog Recent Readers.
MyBlogLog is a social network service from Yahoo for interaction between bloggers. You’ll need to sign up for free accounts on MyBlogLog and initiate a blog community for your blog. As other users visit your MyBlogLog-enabled sites, their photo shows up on the widget – a virtual calling card. Clicking on your photo leads to their profile and all the stuff they share.
After you sign up for MyBlogLog account, adding it to your WordPress blog is easy. You can download the MyBlogLog recent reader plugin, upload it to your blog and follow the simple installation instruction.
1. If you are upgrading from a previous version first de-activate the plugin, then delete the plugin folder from your server.
2. Upload the plugin folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
3. Login to your WP admin, click on the “Plugins” tab, look through the list of installed plugins to find the one called “MyBlogLog Recent Readers Widget”, and then click on “Activate” to activate the plugin.
4. Click on “Design” tab and then “Widgets” subtab, you will see “MyBlogLog Reader Roll” amongst the available widgets.
5. Drag and drop it to your template sidebar, click on the widget setting and follow the instructions on there to set it up
