Well, I must say that I come across more reports of banned AdSense accounts every day. For very large and prominent publishers, the chance to reopen an account does really exist, for small ones this is highly unlikely though.

For those that got banned (but haven’t clicked on their own ads), however, the world hasn’t ended yet: Why don’t you just try some alternatives? There are several other ad networks out there, it doesn’t always have to be Googe AdSense. My personal favorite, for example, is Oxado, which offers contextual advertising - just like Google.
