Personally I have had a very similar experience to you, and am fortunatate enough to not be dependant on accepting what google decides is fair.

I decide what is and is not acceptable, or good value, on my website and if someone wants to buy space on my site and then changes their mind about the value of that space they purchase from me, I make a decision, not them, as to whether I accept their price.

Google has already lost access to half my pages because I took a stand against them forcing or changing ad values on MY pages without consultation.

If all, or most, whitehat webmasters realised the true value of their original content, and did the same google would lose the top content it seeks for it”s advertisers and would deliver consistently poor venues for it:s advertisers.

They would be then be forced to find a way that respects the very people they are dependant upon. The genuine webmaster.

I can’t tell a newspaper how much I will pay to advertise in their paper, they tell me how much they charge.

When white hat webmasters realise this simple fact, and act accordingly, only then will those MADE FOR ADSENSE sites and arbitarge WE HAVE THE BEST FOUR SITES low paying ads dissapear.
